The Gilmanton 4th of July Committee is pleased to announce the return of nominating a Grand Marshall annually. This year, the Committee has nominated Carl Moorehead.
Carl has been a member of the Gilmanton community for more than 70 years. He and his late wife Jane were married in 1952 and made Gilmanton their home. During his time in Gilmanton, he has consistently served his community by helping to coach little league, helping at Gilmanton Old Home Day, volunteer firefighter and helped to maintain the cemeteries for the Cemetery Committee. Carl also served on the School Board during the transition of the Gilford/Gilmanton High School students in the 1970’s.
Carl will have the honor of being in the lead car being driven by his long time friend Tom Smithers. Please join us in celebrating Carl Moorehead at the parade at 10:00am on July 4th.
